About Kristina

Judge Kristina Williams is running as a Republican for the 5th Court of Appeals in North Texas. She is running for Place 7, one of two open positions on the Court. Judge Williams currently serves as the presiding judge of the 192nd District Court in Dallas County.

A career appellate lawyer, Judge Williams said, “It is imperative that Texas remains strong by honoring our legal traditions based on liberty, freedom, and respect for the Constitution. I am confident that my experience will serve our State well as a justice on the Court of Appeals.”

Judge Williams believes in the Constitution and rule of law. She knows the foundation of our country is the right to free speech, to keep and bear arms, and to the free exercise of religion.

Governor Greg Abbott appointed Kristina Williams as Judge of the 192nd Judicial District Court in Dallas County. Before taking the bench, Judge Williams served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas in the appellate division. Prior to her public service, she was a Senior Attorney for Dykema and an Associate at Jackson Walker. Judge Williams is a former law clerk to Hon. Edith H. Jones of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Hon. Nathan L. Hecht of the Supreme Court of Texas. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Federalist Society, and the Dallas Bar Association. Judge Williams received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctorate degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center.  Judge Williams and her husband, along with their two young children and two dachshunds, live in Dallas, Texas.
